Two new songs just dropped on to streaming services from Cornelius deVallance. Cornelius deVallance are an experimental rock and punk project formed by Michael Cornelius and Brendan deVallance. Known for their minimalistic, quirky songs, the duo initially collaborated in the early 80s as part of the Phoenix punk scene and later revived their musical partnership to release tracks like "The Takeaway".The duo has been highly active in the local Arizona music scene, performing live sets on a recurring basis. Michael Cornelius, who previously played with the notable skate-punk band JFA, performs alongside Brendan deVallance. They typically blend off-beat, infectious melodies over continuous rhythm tracks, treating their live shows as experiments in "recombinant musical DNA". They are also widely known for reuniting their classic 1980s Phoenix punk band, the Jr. Chemists. The band, which originated in the early Phoenix underground punk era.
