“Waltz No 2”, Elliott Smith

When Elliott was a young lad growing up in Texas he was molested by his stepfather. His Mothers solution was to side with her husband and send the boy to live with his Father in Portland. This is a heart wrenching number he wrote to his mother. I can't think of a more powerful song. If you don't know this mans work there is a trove of great songs. He killed himself in 2003.
