I don’t often go for themes, but “I Don’t like Mondays” brought this song to mind. Piano based murder ballads in the time when it was the rare occurrence, not semi-daily like we have it today. This song is from Caribou, the eighth studio album by Elton John, released in 1974. It was his fourth chart-topping album in the United States and his third in the United Kingdom.
